Privacy Policy
North Star Home Services is a residential home-services company operating in the Greater Toronto Area. This policy explains what information this website collects, why we collect it, and how you can reach us with a privacy question.
Information you give us
The website collects information only when you choose to send it to us through the quote request form, or when you contact us by phone or email. Through the quote form, that includes:
- your name, phone number and email address;
- the service address or postal code for the job;
- the service you are asking about;
- the job description you write, and your preferred date, time or availability;
- any photos you choose to attach (optional, up to four images).
Please send only the information needed to quote the job. There is no need to include sensitive personal information in the description or in photos.
Technical information
Like most websites, the services that host and run this site process standard technical request information — for example IP address, browser type and timestamps — as part of delivering pages, storing submissions and keeping the site secure. This site does not run advertising trackers or third-party marketing pixels, and we do not build advertising profiles about visitors.
How we use your information
- to respond to your quote request and discuss the scope of the work;
- to schedule, prepare for and carry out the service you ask for;
- to follow up about that request, including questions we need answered to quote it;
- to operate, maintain and secure the website and our records of incoming requests.
Submitting the form means we may contact you about your request. It does not sign you up for marketing messages.
We do not sell your information
North Star Home Services does not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Service providers we rely on
To run the website we use a small number of providers, and your submission passes through them only so that we can receive and store it:
- a website hosting and application platform, which serves the pages and runs the form;
- a managed database and file-storage provider, where quote requests and any uploaded photos are stored;
- an email delivery provider, used to send us the notification of your request.
These providers process the information on our behalf so that the website can function. If we ever need to disclose information because the law requires it, we will limit that disclosure to what is required.
Storage, retention and security
Quote requests and uploaded photos are stored in a private, access-controlled database and file store. They are not published on the website and are not publicly readable. Access is restricted to authorized North Star Home Services accounts. We keep quote requests for as long as we reasonably need them to respond to you, complete work, and keep ordinary business records, and we remove or archive them when they are no longer needed.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No website or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Your privacy requests
You can ask us what information we hold about your request, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@northstarhome.ca or call (416) 912-4966 and we will help. If a request involves records we need to keep for legitimate business or legal reasons, we will tell you.
Children
This website is intended for adults arranging services for a property. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

If our practices change, we will update this page. The version shown here is the current one.
